Shout Out for the Green Monster

For my first post I want to make mention to one of my favorite things right now. Before I get started though I need to give credit where credit is due to the originator of the green monster movement....http://greenmonstermovement.com/. I first heard about these a year or so ago and was completely turned off. I could not figure out for the life of me how someone could enjoy a smoothie that contained SPINACH and was sometimes the color of sludge! I guess this is a classic case of not being able to judge a book by its cover cause let me tell you I was DEAD WRONG and I cant talk enough about how glad you will be if you give them a shot. I usually start my day off 5 times a week with one and if I know I'm going to be really busy at work I will make one to take with me. For my green monsters I start with either carrot juice or almond milk, add protein powder of some sort ( hemp or vanilla soy are my favorites), chia seeds or flax seeds, wheat grass, spinach and or kale, and what ever fruits and veggies you have on hand.......I encourage you to visit the green monster website, you will find some great starter recipes.
